I draw with paper in space.
To me, paper is not a support; it’s the main material I use to create lines and colors. I use paper to make wall drawings, installations and paintings.
In Japanese culture, paper has always been used to define space, both in daily life and in ritual settings. I do the same.
My goal is to reinterpret and reexamine Japanese traditional aesthetics and philosophy in a contemporary, multicultural context.
